The moving autobiographical account of one family’s journey with autism. From the time her child is diagnosed at age three, “Mom” leads us through the challenges and milestones of living with autism. An omnipresent interviewer acts as a sounding board as she moves along this murky new path. Although it is her voice that narrates the journey, it is the “Son” who remains in the foreground of every picture, illuminating the impact that disability has on every aspect of life, and revealing his personal struggle for acceptance of his unique gifts.
